12/29/13 Women's Basketball Meet and Greet
A few of our troop's Daisies came out to cheer on the WVU Women's Basketball team on Sunday. We got to meet the WVU Mountaineer and our "adopted" player, #2 Taylor Palmer. The women won and they were very nice to the Girl Scouts!

December Roller Skating Party
Hip Hop Dance Lesson at 12/12/13 Meeting
The Daisies got to show off some attitude during Gretchen's Hip Hop Dance lesson. There were lots of smiles and strutting.
The girls got to add a Rose Petal for "Making the World a Better Place" by donating their chore chart money to our Salvation Army Angel. The Girls also added a Red Petal for being "Courageous and Strong" as they exercised their bodies with Hip Hop Dance.
While signing up girls for Cookie Sales in January, we even got a little crafty . . .

Chore Chart Earnings Donated to Our Salvation Army Angel
Parents, you should be so proud of our Daisies for so many reasons! They earned their Rose Daisy Petal for "Making the World a Better Place" as they donated their hard earned chore chart money to Holly, our Salvation Army Angel. Approximately 10 pounds of coins combined with bills added up to $206!! TWO HUNDRED SIX DOLLARS. All of this money was spent on four outfits, athletic shoes, a bike helmet, her wish list toys, a toboggan and a Ninja Bread Making Kit and dropped off at the collection point on Saturday. Thanks so much parents and girls!

Star Lab and Moon Rocks Visit the Daisies 11/14/13!
We were very lucky to get a visit from the NASA Inflatable Star Lab Planetarium! A wonderful friend and educator, Karen, introduced the girls to the constellations along with many interesting stories different cultures associate with the constellations. Not only did the girls get to see images from both sides of the moon, they recited the Girl Scout Promise while "on" the moon!
The girls pasted petals on daisies indicating they have earned their:
1. Blue Daisy Center for reciting the Girl Scout Promise
2. Spring Green Petal for being Caring and Considerate (making cards to give to Sundale Nursing Home residents
3. Green Petal for Use Resources
Wisely by participating in a Book Exchange on Thursday and a
4. Magenta Petal for Respect
Authority for respectfully listening to our Star Lab expert
We had a great time and thanks to all the girls and parents who donated money, food, supplies, and elbow grease!
